Replenishing Neurotransmitters?
Hey can you check this page out for me and see if what they say is true? Some of the stuff they mention makes sense, but is it possible to replenish your neurotransmitters by taking in certain amino acids, supplements, etc?
I remember reading somewhere on ybop.com that it was impossible for supplements to replenish neurotransmitters because the depletion of neurotransmitters by PMO was not caused by a nutrition deficiency. The ingredients in it seem ok, it's all natural.
Anyways here is the page, i'm pretty sure somewhere in the past someone may have brought this up with you. Are you Gary by the way? Please respond asap

I've written about herbalove elswhere on the site
and his model is quite a mess with many holes in it, and a few physiological explanations that cannot occur.
I can't give nutritional advice, but we have a page with guys comments - http://www.yourbrainonporn.com/supplements
You are right, addiction is not a deficiency problem, but some guys believe that some supplements are helpful.

Eastern Medicine vs. Western Medicine
I really appreciate you putting up all this material, hats off to you sir. Your information has helped me change my life in some ways and I am very grateful I found your site, I hope they pay you well.
I think you say it has holes because some the people who put up that material are Oriental Medical Doctors. Eastern medicine and Western medicine never seem to agree on anything.
I have gone and seen a very adroit OMD, he's not like those other cheap scammers. He never agrees with western medicine and i've gone to my regular American Family Practitioner and they both never agree with the things my OMD says. The family practitioners are worthless because all they want to do is stick you on prescriptions drugs, everytime I go it's here take Kolonapin or here some Addavan, no take Celexa. Man all that shit is worthless, it doesn't do anything but get me more depressed, higher chances of organ failure and distorted thoughts.
Can you please give me an explanation on the physiological explanations that cannot occur?
One place I taught had a TCM program -
So I am a big fan of TCM. I am not a fan of herballove website. I'm not a big fan of a lot of Western medicine, especially the inappropriate use of prescriptions drugs, which is based on biased studies by pharmaceutical companies. I won't get into the well known practice of pharmaceutical companies not allowing negative studies to be published.
I was only referring to herballove. His mistake is that he describes TCM diagnosis (sexual exhaustion) in Western terms (hormones, neurotransmitters, etc). That cannot be done, as the two systems have completely different models.
I'l put it simply - his Western physiological explanations cannot be backed up with research or logic.
I just spent more time on his site, and its changed in the last few months. The previous version had very long articles listing all the physiological changes caused by over-masturbation.
This article briefly mentions a few changes that are refuted by human and animal research

My main complaints have to do with
There is no evidence for any of this.
Since guys only recognize testosterone they latch onto that and believe that porn-induced ED is caused by depletion of testosterone. It's not and orgasm does not lower testosterone or deplete it. The result is guys trying to up their testosterone, and not dealing with the cause - porn
Now he says it melts the brain. A great visual for guys with porn-induced ED
A second "thing" that guys repeat is that their "parasympathic nerves are depleted". Nonsense.
I am not saying that high levels of masturbation cannot affect the endocrine system. Maybe there are alterations, but not the ones he describes. Countless guys with porn-induced ED have had blood tests and the results are normal.
