So I thought I’d write a bit about my challenge. I’ve hit 90 days today (I’m from the UK, so the badge is a little ahead of my actual tally).
I wasn’t heavily addicted to fapping before I started the challenge, but the number was creeping up- it was at least once a day, and I didn’t get withdrawal symptoms, but I did notice if I hadn’t fapped that day.
Why I took up the challenge
I took up the challenge mainly because I was sick and tired of being stimulated by plastic and fake actors on a screen, and despite not knowing much about real sex, I could tell the over-exaggeration that takes place in porn films. I also wanted to see if I could do it, because when I heard about it I didn’t think it was something that I could ever do.
Benefits received
I am no longer a virgin. This was probably a mistake, since it happened when I was so drunk I could barely remember it. It wasn’t good, or significant in any way, but I still consider myself a virgin purely because I don’t remember much about it. However, technically, I am not.
I feel more confident and self-aware, and this has made me more of a sociable person- not that I was socially inadequate before, but it has made me more in-tune with people around me in social situations. The confidence boost I have gained from knowing I have the perseverance to see something through is massive- this is the first self-regulated challenge I’ve successfully completed (ever).
My view on NoFap
You will hear this all the time, but it doesn’t give you superpowers. What it does give you is the drive to better yourself, to make yourself the best you can be, and after you reach that potential, you know you can actually do things, you can talk to strangers, ask a girl/guy for their number, or whatever you personally want.
That is the non-sexual side of it, but also the separation of pornography from sexual pleasure will make actual sexual encounters infinitely more worthwhile.
tl; dr: Another success story. Be motivated by NoFap to excel at life.
