- Verdraagsaamheid / eskalasie: Die mees algemene self-beskou negatiewe gevolge van pornografie gebruik ingesluit: die behoefte aan langer stimulasie (12.0%) en meer seksuele stimuli (17.6%) om orgasme te bereik, en 'n afname in seksuele bevrediging (24.5%) ...... - Onttrekkingsimptome: selfs by nie-verslaafdes (sien tabel): 51% het probeer om ten minste een keer op te hou, met 72.2% van diegene wat onttrekkingsimptome ervaar: Slapeloosheid, prikkelbaarheid, bewing, aggressie, angs, afname in die libido, depressie, erotiese drome, aandagstoornis, eensaamheid…
- Jonger = meer probleme: Ouderdom van eerste blootstelling aan eksplisiete materiaal is geassosieer met verhoogde waarskynlikheid van negatiewe gevolge van pornografie by jong volwassenes. Die hoogste kans is gevind vir vroue en mans wat op 12 jaar of onder blootgestel is. Alhoewel 'n dwarsdeursnitstudie nie 'n oorsaak van oorsaaklike assessering toelaat nie, kan hierdie bevinding inderdaad aandui dat kinderverband met pornografiese inhoud langtermyn-uitkomste kan hê.
- Deelnemers glo pornografie is 'n publieke gesondheidskwessie: In die huidige studie het die ondervraagde studente dikwels aangedui dat pornografie-blootstelling 'n nadelige uitkoms op sosiale verhoudings, geestesgesondheid, seksuele prestasie kan hê en kan psigososiale ontwikkeling in kinder- en adolessensie beïnvloed. - Dit is die porn! Persoonlikheidseienskappe wat nie met uitkomste verband hou nie: Met enkele uitsonderings het geen van die persoonlikheidseienskappe, wat self gerapporteer is in hierdie studie, die gestudeerde parameters van pornografie onderskei nie. Hierdie bevindings ondersteun die idee dat toegang en blootstelling aan pornografie tans te breed is om spesifieke psigososiale eienskappe van sy gebruikers te spesifiseer. Daar is egter 'n interessante opmerking gemaak oor verbruikers wat gerapporteer het dat hulle toenemend ernstige pornografiese inhoud moet sien. Soos aangedui, kan gereelde gebruik van eksplisiete materiaal moontlik met desensibilisering geassosieer word, wat lei tot die behoefte om meer ekstreme inhoud te sien om soortgelyke seksuele opwinding [32] te bereik.
Bottom line – if a study actually asks the right questions, it reveals reality. So many studies rely on useless questionnaires (Like PCES or CPUI-9). We need more studies like this one.

The questionnaire employed in the present research aimed to assess:
- the prevalence of pornography use and age of first exposure in the studied group;
- the patterns of pornography exposure: (i) the forms and frequency of use, (ii) an average length of single use, (iii) use of private (incognito mode) and multi-window browsing when watching online pornography, and (iv) consumption outside a place of residence;
- the frequency of attempts to cease pornography use in the group of its current users, and prevalence and severity of associated effects (using a four-point scale);
- the self-perceived effects of pornography regarding (i) changes in the type of consumed content such as switching to a novel genre, progression to more extreme (violent) material, viewing content not matching sexual orientation, (ii) sexual satisfaction, (iii) romantic relationship quality, (iv) changes in time of stimulation and number of stimuli needed to reach an orgasm when using pornography, and (v) neglecting basic needs (e.g., sleeping, eating) and duties (e.g., home-associated, occupational) due to pornography use;
- the prevalence of self-perceived addiction to use of pornography; and
- general opinion on pornography: (i) the effect it may have on social relationships, mental health and sexual performance, and psychosocial development in childhood and adolescence, (ii) the possibility that it may cause addiction, (iii) border age of harmless pornography exposure, and (iv) the current legal status of pornography in Poland (an open access to adult pornography).
