Age 23 - Greater confidence, more motivation, A drive for a quality life.
It's a pretty awesome feeling typing this 90 day report. I have been attempting NoFap for about 2 years no with not much success. I have been PMOing since I was 15 (now 23). It took some pretty dramatic changes in my life to finally have the drive to commit to not fapping.
About 5 months ago my girlfriend of 2 years broke up with me. She said we just weren't the right people for each other and that I just wasn't the kind of guy she wanted. I was working as a teller at a local bank even though I graduated with a Business degree the year before and it took me over 6 months to even get that job. This caused a lot of stress in our relationship. A month after we broke up I lost my job at the bank and I was at a loss at what to do next.
I decided to use these trials as a way to better myself and finally do the things I always talked about doing. I committed to NoFap and got a gym membership.
Once I started going to the gym I noticed it was much easier to do NoFap. Instead of going back to PMO when I was depressed, stressed or angry I went to the gym. I decided to start bulking up a bit and I am now training for a half marathon next spring.
Things I have noticed since starting NoFap:
- Confidence. I don't just mean with women, I mean confidence in who I am as a person. I started caring less about what people thought of me.
- Motivation. If you would have told me 5 months ago I would be going to the gym regularly and training for a half marathon I wouldn't have believed you. This journey has really showed me that I can do anything I set my mind to.
- A drive for a quality life. Since starting this journey my desires for life haven't changed much but I finally feel like I can achieve them. I started dressing better, saving to buy a house next year, surrounding myself with good people.
For the first time in my life I really feel content where I am at. 2 months ago I started a new job at IBM using my degree and making twice as much money as I was before. I have multiple goals that I am working towards. I am ok with being single and just enjoying the people I am around.
TL;DR - NoFap made me face my problems instead of hiding in PMO. You'll do things you never thought you would. When you finally get the point where the need to PMO is gone, you'll never look back.
