This is a video presentation that was given recently at the National Center on Sexual Exploitation Summit by Jeronym, a 19-year-old activist from the Czech Republic. For his final high school theses, he decided to write on the negative effects pornography has on adolescents and society.
As part of this project, Jeronym conducted an extensive survey of 437 adolescents in his region, to learn about their attitudes and experiences surrounding pornography. The results of the survey found:
- Porn viewing is widespread among youth.
- Adolescents have little awareness of risks associated with porn viewing porn.
- Adolescents have little awareness of social problems associated with porn use.
- Teens often find porn on the internet without seeking it out.
- Teens porn use increased during the pandemic.
