I’ve done it. For the second time.

I started no fap a while ago. After some failed streak, I reached 90 days a year ago. Then some rough break up, changes in my routine, a move abroad made me relapse. 90 days ago, I decided to do it again.

Galvanized by the fact that I already did it once, this time was much easier.

I consider myself cured from PMO, though, like a recovering alcoholic, I must always be careful for triggers.

My goal was always to stop porn, not to prevent myself from “healthy” masturbation. So from now on, I’ll allow myself to MO once a week, without porn, obviousely.

Some things I’ve found along the way:

  • Doing nofap for the sake of it does not work. nofapping is not an end in itself, but a way towards a end. Which end? you get to define it. Be healthier, stop procrastinating, get a tasty life, you name it.
  • Will is like a muscle, it is trained through perseverance.
  • Success is easier if there are other things you force yourself to do on top of nofap: work out, run, keep a healthy diet, refrain yourself from your other addictions etc.
