Whether this whole thing is placebo or not, it definitely made an impact on my psyche.
Just so you all know, this isn't going to be entirely thanks to NoFap. But what it did do was help the ball get rolling.
I've been on NoFap for years now, but only ever made it to 50ish days. Each time I'd feel different and felt improvement, I'd destroy it with falling off the wagon. Whether this whole thing is placebo or not, it definitely made an impact on my psyche.
About 5ish months ago, I was in a terrible spot mentally. I hated my job and I hated the way my life was going. I felt depressed, lonely, and was all-around unsatisfied with my life. In my pot-induced haze of finishing for the last time, I chose that it all needed to end.
The change wasn't sudden, or drastic. I simply decided that I wasn't going to waste my time with masturbating. Just changing my attitude is what helped switch on the light in my head to re-evaluate my life goals and what would make me truly happy. I had been applying for jobs outside of my state (Maryland) just for a change of scenery and thanks to a lucky break, I was able to snag one in Yosemite National Park here in my native state of California. :)
My life was completely turned upside down by the steps taken in the afterglow of NoFap. While it isn't the life-changer, it is definitely a catalyst. Keep on trucking, Fapstronauts. I can tell you how good it feels to be in control of your own body, but nothing compares to how you feel to be in control of your future.
Love you, dudes.
