I am a 38 year old male, married with three kids. Started masturbating when i was 11. Last year i became a pastor which makes my struggle or the more shameful and hypocritical. I was masturbating everyday in more and more compromising and risky situations. i.e. in the middle of the day in the bathrooms at work etc etc.
– Being clean has helped me form better and deeper relationships with women, especially from my church. It is incredible how much wanking over women in my life made it near bar impossible to look them in the eye the next day. I am learning more about them as people. Their convictions, their ambitions, their struggles. And i am loving it.
-It has helped me make friends generally. I didn’t realise how much masturbation was stopping me from reaching out to mates and new people. I didnt make the effort to make that phone call or to arrange that catch up. I am far better connected communally.
– I am more interested in my wife sexually. I would always go to her for sex before but it was because i had an itch i wanted her to scratch. Their is more connection in our lovemaking and by the sound of things she is enjoying it more!
– My productivity has gone through the roof. I have a blessed work position where i get as much leave as i want so long as i meet certain weekly work outcomes. Unfortunately, last year it meant i would work 50+ hours slowly over 7 days. Now i am finishing my work week in 3-4 days and have a long weekend with my family EVERY WEEK. We have gone on so many awesome adventures and seen so much more of the country.
-Not only has my productivity jumped in the amount of work i complete and the speed of output, but also the type of things i am achieving. I have taken up a new hobby of woodwork. I am also reading books for the first time in 4 years. I simply didnt have patience for such things before. I was too accustomed to instant gratification.
Guys, if anyone out there is tempted to PMO today DON’T. Your life is so much better without that crap in your life. Trust me.
