Age 19 – 1 year PMO free: Porn-induced ED cured

I was introduced to porn relatively late by that I mean say around when I was 15 years old, now am 19 turning 20 soon. I wasn’t addicted to porn if I may say but the excitement that watching porn brought was amazing, because that’s when every guy wants to explore: stuff specifically Sex related.

I moved cities with my family and I couldn’t adjust to the new place so I stayed indoors and earlier I just M’ed but when you got free access to watch porn and edge to every video, I started relying on porn to get off not knowing what damage I’m causing to myself. Ultimately after approximately 2 Years such exposure I couldn’t get an erection without porn so yeah after rushing onto Google I found out that such a phenomenon was common with increased exposure to Porn and that I had Porn related erectile dysfunction.

I was depressed like everyone one would have but because I found this site I gave porn immediately and started to learn everything there as to porn related ED and watched a lot of YouTube videos that I could find especially Reboot nation if I’m not mistaken.

There are 2 kind of guys:

  1. Guys that can’t leave Porn easily but when they do they recover “relatively” easier (It’s tough, don’t get me wrong) and,
  2. Guys that can leave Porn easily but take quite some time to recover.

I am that second guy. I could leave PMO that instant I created my signature or the PMO tracker but it took me quite a time to recover.

90 day myth: I write myth because 90 days is the general or approx time “said” that a person takes to fully recover from the exposure or damage or PMO. But as a matter of fact it’s virtually impossible to recover in 90 days unless all the variables match up, I was jolly when I touched 90 days getting all happy but as a matter of fact I hadn’t recovered and I realized it soon enough. I’m not saying don’t do the 90 day challenge but treat it significantly as a stepping stone to your main goal. I did feel different after the 90 day challenge for sure as do so many others.

Objectifying women: The core values of NoFap is to stop objectifying women which is very hard and I to this date haven’t been perfect in as I’m sure all guys who after recovering haven’t. As it’s said in the Bible- “The mind is strong but the flesh is weak”. The main game in this is to have an out after such thoughts hit your head that is either women or porn related. Have an “out” or a thought that you have that you use when you get such thoughts. I read quite some while back on the forums that one guy wore a band on this arm and whenever such thoughts hit him, he would flick the band. Don’t do this specifically but according to the person you are, you will have to find an out and this is relatively easy but keep it in your mind. I myself think of some sports like UFC and so forth.

Finding your trigger: I am sure everyone has found their trigger but being foolish I found my trigger 6 months into this journey. Watching Television was and still is my trigger as you can’t control what you are going to watch like in the movie you’re watching or you just feel that you can control since you feel you’re strong to do so, but I couldn’t do so for much time and ultimately gave up TV unless there was sports going on like UFC, MotoGP and few others.I make monumental growth after I stopped watching TV.

Using Time: Time as everyone knows is precious and one should use their time to full benefit. I started going to the gym but it just wasn’t my thing so I started my journey of Calisthenics back in May’15. You got to have something to do. An Idle mind is a devils workshop and so it is. Keep yourself occupied and you’ll be happy for real.

I created hatred for Porn to be honest in the time span and it’s just eats you nothing else. It will never benefit you in life and I mean never.

All the superpowers that people talk after taking the NoFap challenge is just confidence and rightfully so it is. Continue on your journey and you’ll love to see the progress you’ve made.

This experience has been a huge learning curve in my life though its been for a year yet.I stated before that I’m never going to PMO every again in my life and so it stands. I count this year as just beginning of my journey which in my eyes has no end. I still have to work on a lot of personal stuff yet and look to improving a lot of myself.

I don’t count myself a guru in any sort of way but I would love to answer questions if any. And lastly thinking of porn related stuff will give you no good or don’t harbor such thoughts as the more you think of it the more you sink.

Thanks to NoFap and the guys that run this site and also to watch what you do for this community in the world is amazing.

Thanks to this community!!

Cheers.
