Age 37 – Lost my wife over porn/ED, but now I’m almost at the top of my game again

Lesson-Learned.png

My wife left me because of porn. Not “because of porn”, but for what porn was doing to me. I’ve been in PMO for the last 15 years (I’m 37 now), and I’ve been through all the symptoms described here, including ED.

Recently I got really scared when I read about the damages that porn can to to your brain. I always thought that it was something that I could control whenever I wanted, as anyone addicted to anything thinks. But I got afraid that it could cause permanent damage to my brain, so I started studying PMO and ED from all sources available on the Internet.

Now I am at the 8th week without PMO. And I’ve been through all the process, including libido loss, penis shrink, and all that you guys know so well. I fell that I am almost at the top of my game again, and I would like to share with you some of the things that helped me speed things up. I know that I have a long way to go, but I feel pretty confident that this can help anyone recover faster.

  1. Eat healthier. It’s all about hormones guys. If you eat junk, you increase you progesterone, than you will loose your sexual drive. If you eat the right foods, you will increase you testosterone naturally. Does anyone doubts the power of testosterone? Remember, thats why the older you are, the harder it is to recover from PIED. Testosterone decreases with age.
  2. Workout. Seriously. Workout hard! The same as above, its all about increasing testosterone. If you have a stressful job, you are probably producing a lot of cortisone. And cortisone decreases your testosterone! What helps to decrease the stress and cortisone on your body? Exactly, workout! You will also fell more confident about yourself if you are ok with your body.
  3. Don’t use drugs to increase your testosterone levels, unless it has been prescribed by a doctor. If you use it by yourself, there is a BIG chance that you will overdo it. Than your body will stop producing testosterone and will increase progesterone no compensate the artificial hormones that you are taking. Remember Bob from Fight Club!

The big question is when to start having sex again. If you try and fail, it can be a huge trigger to start PMO again. If you start dating, and you can feel that, even with your clothes on, you have a firm erection, go for it.

But if things go wrong, it will take a huge willpower not to start PMO again. I’ll say something controversial, but I think that taking medications for ED before going on the first time again, might help. Of course you have to be careful not to getting addicted to those drugs as well.

Sorry for my english, I’m not american.
