I have come to veiw porn as a very strange thing.

Whether I could be classed as a successful rebooter is a matter of opinion, I am on my 94th day clean and still going strong. But here is my 2 cents (or 2 pence to be precise as I live in Scotland).

Being off porn, and having the chance to think and dissect my addiction, I have come to veiw porn as a very strange thing. When I used it I had this view that it was an expression of sexual liberty. As sex is natural, then so is masturbation and so is desiring sexual activity and so on and so fourth, as you sit in your room alone PMOing like crazy. I believed that people who starred in it must really enjoy it and the women who did it were in some way sexually empowered and expressing that through their porn career.

However, I now see that as being completely false. Porn is not a true reflection of sex, sexuality or genuine sexual expression. Its heavily surgically enhanced and photoshopped in many cases. It has no real reflection of sexual tastes and fantasies of real people. It provides an endless choice of fetish but it is not real. It does not tell you “No I don’t want to try that”, or “No you ain’t sticking that in me” or “go a bit slower, you are hurting me”. It does what ever you want it to do, but without you really knowing what you want, and simultaneously in the case of the Porn addict, it fucks your real sexual mojo to the point you ain’t even having real sex.

I don’t believe in banning it or preventing people from using it. But to me it is nothing more than a glorified blow-up doll, albeit one that can completely screw your mind and your sexual energy.

Rant over!  :D

PS, i don’t see having sexual thoughts over a cute girl you know as being a bad thing at all. Early in your reboot it is not the best thing to do but it is much more natural than porn use. Just don’t get hooked on it. If you see a girl you like, try your luck!
