I think Tinder and Instagram are giving me ED just like Porn used to

Hey guys, long time lurker of this nofap reddit. I literally joined today, just to post this, to see if others are experiencing something similar.

I quit porn about 3… 4 years ago after having unexplained ED and stumbling on the yourbrainonporn site. And IT WORKED! It was amazing.

Pre-quitting my lucky ass brought home a girl from the lingerie football league one night, and I couldn’t get it up enough to have sex with her.

AFTER quitting I brought home a very, very, very average girl with a little bit of a belly and had fantastic sex with a fantastic erection. And that became the new norm for me.

But now a couple years later I’m having ED AGAIN with girls! I don’t look at porn now.

Tinder is new since I quit the first time. And I wasn’t on instagram then. If I’m honest with myself I spend a TON of time Tindering and looking at not-quite-porn images on Instagram after work. I finally wised up and got rid of instagram.

But I’m wondering. Do you think the ENDLESS NOVELTY alone is enough to cause ED, even if none of the images of women are technically naked/pornographic. And even if you aren’t masturbating to those images?

We’re talking about EXCESSIVE tindering. Like swiping on 100’s of profiles a night every day after work. From a too much novelty desensitizes you’ perspective, that certainly qualifies. What do you guys think?

  2. After another relapse, i’ve got rid of my twitter, instagram and facebook. I came to realise looking on them did me no favours at all. You think you’ll have a quick peek and before you know it your looking at some hot girls’ photos and that shit doesn’t and isn’t going to help – at least not us people with our issues on here.

  4. Yo man, I know exactly what you mean im 19 years old had the same problem. I found I was getting better but instagram and tinder for that matter were giving me strange feelings when i was on them i knew i was cheating myself so i had to get rid of the apps. Seems like you have done that already anyway. Your brain will always switch to the next best thing, which in your case is tinder. Uninstall the apps and thats it, you’re free man, I envy your position! Well played!
  5. this surely was a problem for me too. instead of PMO I used to surf instagram/facebook and tinder to look at hot chicks and get a dopamine rush from getting likes/matches/followers etc. ….Got rid of facebook and tinder but still use instagram way too much. cant help myself but I simply love taking good pictures and share them even though it always soaks me into this mindless surfing.
