I’ve always had trouble with social anxiety. Since I’ve started NoFap I’m able to smile more and am readily able to strike up conversations

Made it to 90 days hard mode and I have to say that I’ve had the time of my life with this challenge. It was tough at first, but the improvements I started making in all aspects of my life kept me going. My mind feels less like a septic tank and now feels more like a koi pond in a zen garden. The clarity and sharpness is incredible and the desire to view porn is gone.

I started viewing porn around 13 and used porn moderately for about 12 years until I decided enough was enough. I discovered NoFap last year and after lurking a bit decided to start on easy mode. Even easy mode was tough enough at first and for a long time user like me was a reboot itself. After successfully staying off porn for 8 months I wanted to go to hard mode since I wasn’t really feeling the benefits described by users on here. So at the start of the summer I went for it.

The beginning was tough, my sex drive went crazy initially but quickly flat lined after about 2 weeks. Depression quickly ensued and thoughts of giving up pervaded me everyday. It wasn’t until about 30 days in that I felt a little like my self again, like my mind and soul was returning to me; my mood started improving, as well. I also started meditating around this time as well as continued with cold showers – these practices help immensely.

I’ve always had trouble with social anxiety. Since I’ve started NoFap I’m able to smile more and am readily able to strike up conversations with my coworkers and classmates which is a very welcome change. My overall mood and optimism has improved and generally am more content with my situation in life.

My flatline is still with me after 90 days which means I’m not done with my reboot. After reading posts of people with similar backgrounds to mine I think I can expect my reboot to take 9-12 months. I’m willing to take this journey and look forward to working towards 180 days PMO free. I’ve decided to adopt the philosophy of NoFap into my life and continue indefinitely. The freedom from porn is motivation enough, but I also hope to find someone to be with someday.

If you are a porn user, please think about ending the habit and starting NoFap. The benefits are amazing, you will find new hobbies and rekindle old ones to replace porn. Your true essence will show through and will affect everyone around you in a positive way.

Good luck to everyone out there and here’s to another 90 days!

Cheers!
