Abstract

At present the internet really provides convenience for the community including as a source of information, entertainment and communication facilities. But in reality, the internet has a negative impact on society in the form of pornographic sites. Cybersex occurs when individuals use the internet as a medium for sexual satisfaction. Cybersex is common among students, not least for university X students in the city of Bandung who have a curiosity about religion deeper, have faith in their religion and perform worship regularly that describes the student’s religiosity. This study aims to obtain data on the relationship of religiosity with cybersex behavior in X university students in the city of Bandung. The theoretical concepts used in this study are the concepts of religiosity theory from Huber and Huber (2012) and the concept of cybersex behavior theory from Delmonico and Miller (2003). The analytical method used is the Product Moment correlational technique with a sample of 198 people who were netted using cluster sampling techniques. The results showed a correlation of -0.297, there was a negative relationship between religiosity and cybersex behavior. This means that the higher the religiosity, the lower the cybersex behavior. Conversely the lower religiosity, the cybersex behavior will be higher.
