Introduction.

The increase in the last years of Internet use has led to the modification of the behavior patterns and interaction of people, including those related to human sexual behavior (Serrano & Cuesta, 2018) In this field the appearance of a New problem: Cybersex addiction (Döring, Daneback, Saughnessy, Grov & Byers, 2017). Frequently, cybersex addiction manifests itself through the consumption of online pornography, which according to multiple studies can be constituted as excessive and uncontrollable, generating great interference in life (Wéry & Billieux, 2017). Thus, the study becomes fundamental those factors that act as predisposers and / or maintainers. We found studies that suggest that one of the mechanisms underlying cybersex addiction is the subjective sexual activation generated by it and its subsequent delay in the extent of satiation (that is, the point at which a person feels that has already seen enough pornography and voluntarily ceases its consumption (Laier, Pawlikowski, Pekal, Schulte & Brand, 2013)

Objective and hypothesis

The objective is to explore the evolution of subjective sexual arousal before the viewing of pornography and its relation to the delay In this regard, we hope to find that those who react with higher levels of subjective sexual arousal (greater arousal in the face of pornography exposure) are those who require a longer time of exposure to pornography to achieve satiation. 58 participants, with an average of 24.29 years, were exposed to a 23 ‘pornographic video in which every 20’ ‘level was reported of excitation from 0 to 9. In order to assess the point of satiation, participants could cease exposure to pornographic video at the time they considered they had seen enough. Thus, satiation is defined operatively as: << the time (in sec.) Elapsed between the start of the video and the voluntary end >>.

Discussion.

This study allows us to improve our knowledge about the evolution of subjective sexual arousal during the viewing of pornography, an aspect with multiple and important implications in the study of the phenomenon of cybersex addiction. We show that higher levels of excitation are an effective predictor of a delay in satiation, and therefore, of the possibility of developing a pathological consumption of pornography (Laier, Pawlikowski, Pekal, Schulte & Brand, 2013) These aspects are crucial to develop effective therapeutic programs.
