Abstract

Ukusetyenziswa kwe-Intanethi ye-Pathological (PIU) kuchaphazela impilo yomntu ngokwasemzimbeni nasengqondweni, kwaye abafundi baseyunivesithi basemngciphekweni njengoko kunokwenzeka ukuba baphuhlise i-PIU. Olu phononongo lumisela ukuxhaphaka kwePIU kunye nezinto ezinxulumene nayo phakathi kwabafundi kwiyunivesithi yoluntu yaseMalaysia. Olu phononongo olunqamlezileyo lwenziwe phakathi kwabafundi be-1023 abangekathweswa isidanga ngo-2015. Le mibuzo iqulethwe zizinto ezivela kwi-Young's Diagnostic Questionnaire ukuvavanya i-PIU kunye nezinto ezinxulumene ne-socio-demography, psychosocial, lifestyle and co-morbidities. Indlela yokuqokelela idatha esekelwe ephepheni engachazwanga yamkelwa. Iminyaka yobudala yabaphenduli yayingama-20.73 ± 1.49 yeminyaka ubudala. Tizinto ezifunyenwe ngokwezibalo ezibalulekileyo (p <0.05) kunye ne-PIU zisetyenziselwa i-Intanethi kwiiyure ezintathu okanye ngaphezulu ngenjongo yokuzonwabisa (OKANYE: 3.89; 95% CI: 1.33 - 11.36), kwiveki ephelileyo yokusetyenziswa kwe-Intanethi ngenjongo yoonografi (OKANYE: 2.52; I-95% CI: 1.07 - 5.93), unengxaki yokungcakaza (OKANYE: 3.65; 95% CI: 1.64 - 8.12), ukubandakanyeka ekusebenziseni iziyobisi kwiinyanga ezili-12 ezidlulileyo (OKANYE: 6.81; 95% CI: 1.42 - 32.77) kunye nokuba ukudakumba okuphakathi/okuqatha (OKANYE: 4.32; 95% CI: 1.83 - 10.22). Abaphathi beYunivesithi kufuneka baqaphele ukuxhaphaka ukuze kuphuhliswe ungenelelo lokuthintela iziphumo ezibi. Ungenelelo kufuneka lugxininise ekuhloleni abafundi be-PIU, ukwenza ulwazi malunga neziphumo ezibi ze-PIU kunye nokukhuthaza impilo enempilo nesebenzayo kunye nokuthintela ukufikelela kwabafundi kwiiwebhusayithi eziyingozi.
